Windows XP IP Settings

 

  1. Go to Start, then Settings, then Control Panel.
  2. Double click on Network Connections. If you are in Category View, it will be called Network and Internet Connections.
  3. Right-click on Local Area Connection, and select Properties to show the following sheet:
  4. Double-click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). You will see the following window:
  5. If you have a router, this is how it is most likely set up. If you do not have a router, you will have numbers typed in here. If you do not have a router, change the numbers from here to match the new numbers assigned and click OK.
  6. You now have the new settings stored, and should be able to get online.
